Versaperm Vapour Permeability measurement

Permeability Testing for Industrial Solvents

    Permeability Testing for Industrial Solvents

Solvents are used by practically every industry, manufacturing plant, laboratory and development facility in the world. Unfortunately, solvents are very good at permeating into areas where they shouldn't be!  This is because even materials that are largely impervious to liquid solvents are permeable to those same solvents as vapours and these can pass though virtually anything.  Versaperm can help.

Versaperm’s equipment can measure the permeability of materials, seals, mastics and containers for any solvent - either using samples of the material, or any containers or component made from them.  Many common solvents are hydrocarbon based and Versaperm has even introduced a range of specialist sensors for these.

Solvent permeability has applications that range from aerospace through to membrane technology, manufacturing, food processing and Versaperm’s equipment can provide fast, accurate measurements for all of them - usually in the PPB (parts per million range) to PPB range.  Measurement is computer-guided and easy and the systems can measure several samples, seals, enclosures or products at a time.

In addition to manufacturing the instruments, Versaperm provides a technical consultancy and a testing service for companies which only need to test samples on an irregular basis.
